Calliope's SongA Poem by DannyLynne RileyCalliope or Kalliope was one of the greek muses she was the muse of the epics also known as the muse of epic poetry and also the Goddess of eloquenceI sing you in shadows In shades of misty morning grays And bid your hand a lovers waltz Then dance you into day
I whisper you in kisses and press your heart upon my page and write your eyes in ebony stories with ink of darkest sage
I cradle you in sea-shells and catch your tears-drops in my hand then form them into castles carved of ice and sifted sand
I gather you in subtle storms in lipid pools of light through echo's born of distant songs and sighs of deepest night
I bleed you into sunsets and paint your soul across the sky then wrap myself in twilight hues and dream you into flight -DannyLynne © 2012 DannyLynne RileyReviews
