Giving In

Giving In

A Poem by Dani
"

Sad half ballad half lyrical poem. I've feel a bit down this past week, but writing diverts me away from diasterous [sic] behavior.

"

Grasping at fragmented dreams

False memories I must believe,

Lest life seem purposeless

And the Demons deceive.

Yet Dreams seem far away

Shattered, spreading light,

Happiness is transient

Fleeting in its flight.

Brain shuts down

Life loses meaning,

Hands grasp glass

And begin bleeding.

Light shines in before my eyes

Dark angels flutter,

My demise.

A fiery kiss separates body and soul

A harsh whip,

I’m under His control.

Tell me what you think. :) I know it's quite depressing, but unfortunately that's my style sometimes.

I really love those lines for some reason! They really jumped out at me.
Dark, but powerful poem. Nice.
