Cursed Duality

Basically about excitement and anxieties...so stuff I've experienced. Free verse.

A sudden surge

Then energies emerge.

 

A rush of adrenaline,

A cacophony, an over excited din

Fuel for a duel,

 Needed in a battle of body and brain, to triumph the fool.

 

Invincibility becomes achieved

But humans are easily deceived

It only takes a second to change

To become deranged…

 

Heart skipping beats

Hands sweating, head spinning

Ravenous butterflies feeding off your fear

Constant motion of body and mind

 

Chest feels bound to cave,

To close

To cut off all breath

 

It sires doubt and grief.

Robs you of sleep

 

Cold blooded killer

Devouring sanity�"

A low blow to the psyche
