WinterA Poem by DaniHaikuBirds quiet their songs. Deer hide in pine tree havens. People remain at home. Sweet silence, whiteness Glittering in the cold air, Old man winter comes. He brings with him gifts, Little white crystals of ice, And a frigid hug. For those who remain indoors, He creates beautiful sights; But the others, harm. He tears their machines Off the asphalt paths from home, Sends them to their graves. Careless they remain, Old man winter scoffs, disturbed" Disobedience! © 2010 DaniAuthor's Note
