Brave White FLower

Brave White FLower

A Poem by Dani

white orchids in a plastic cup vase clamor, clatter on the floor.

THUD.

Leaves scatter, an act of war.

imperfection breeds contempt, and we know what he makes of that.

UNKEMPT

in visage, values, a sly cat.

killer’s instinct gleams in his eyes,

SHE

knows she has no chance, she cries.

white orchids in a plastic cup vase

(MOTHER)

clamors, clatters on the floor.

Thud. water

(BLOOD)

pools like sorrow on the cold linoleum.

orchids (fists and feet) collide, scatter and

DIE

on the cold linoleum in a place where the sun doesn’t shine
