Murder the fall

Murder the fall

A Poem by Complex Disaster

Quiet tension building stronger
He sits in the corner cradling ammunition
Reflecting upon his entire life
Building up to this one moment
The winter drawing closer
His soul so much colder
Apathy has engulfed everything he was
Consumed by addiction
Dying to ask a question
But out of time to do so
He regrets his every move
His every decision
They brought only misery
And bred with confusion
Do it if it pays the rent he thought
The roof caving in above
He draws his weapon...

I love the surreal approach to this, the less than obvious quality it holds, keeps the reader guessing and dwelling in a strange land of what seems despair and ridicule..and a pause..what direction does it go?
Great work
