Away

Away

A Poem by Complex Disaster

Come through the door and have a drink
Get too blind and dumb to think
Hit the floor again like everyone else
You swore tonight you'd do some good
Things never end up like they should
You're talking s**t again like everyone else

So shut up and give up, I'm not driving you home tonight

Drug yourself to sleep again
Shiver outside in the wind
It doesn't make a damn to me tonight
Shut your mouth and go away
Stay gone forever and a day
I'm too drunk to pray for you tonight

If I was god I'd give you wings and send you home, sooner than later

Shut up and give up, I'm not driving you home tonight

Interesting, reminds me of that annoying drunk friend who is an alright guy when sober, but a complete dick when he's drinking.
