Far beyond gone

Far beyond gone

A Poem by Complex Disaster
"

An old song I wrote, haven't played it in years

"
So much time to find yourself
Still sitting right here
So much time to lie to yourself
And swear that your head's clear
Sickness flows so present
Present in this room
Carelessness consumes me
This hole becomes my tomb

Bottle after bottle, I've brought myself here
Time after time, infliction so sincere
Spewing my health down the drain

So many days behind these walls
Hiding from the truth
That I have failed at everything
But this is nothing new
So many dreams have burned away
Inside this battered home
It's so easy to lose your faith
I'm far beyond gone

This is excellent poetry, unique style too...a delving into such emotion! xx

I find the use of the strike through a bit distracting, but interesting write nonetheless a good write about perils of a bit too much of the special sauce.
