RestA Poem by Complex DisasterA song that's still in the works.
The howls of the falling, piercing the night
A dark cloud comes crawling, to smother the light The beasts of the earth open their hands For what little you're worth, you owe it to this land So sleep for now, there's a long road ahead Your toil in these fields, has made up your bed And lo the ships that will carry you away, you built them with your blood And all the beasts of night that left you horrified, have drowned in the flood Pack your bags for the flight to sleep in the dirt The time to rest has come, you've put in your work Harsh words and frustration don't mean a thing now You've given years of blood and sweat, let the soil have your crown.......
