Glass WallsA Poem by DaniiJA short ... I guess you could call it a poem or prose
Small red rubies drop steadily onto the floor
colliding softly with her tears. Her pain bonces off the walls and magnifies They all stare They all shout They're all angry... She no longer wants to see them, no longer wants to hear them but it has been an eternity that she's been here, trapped and suffocating in this glass box they have built for her. It has been a long time, A long time with nothing to do but to listen. To see. To obey. She can see them clearly now They all stare and whisper They laugh They point She wonders how long she can keep going Knowing she longer has the strength She knows sooner or later she will have to find it, Smash. Shatter. The glass walls of their expectations She knows her flame is burning low. Maybe it might have been better if she never glowed Maybe it was better when she was invisible Maybe things would be better if she had broken free, cut herself loose whilst he was still unsure of his strength, whilst she could still turn things around All of that takes strength though Strength She No Longer Has... © 2010 DaniiJAuthor's Note
