Mama hold onA Poem by Danielle TaylorMessage for all grieving mothers
This pain I feel inside,
Is something I try to hide. It's burning me alive, Stings like a beehive! They say that time will heal, But, that far from how I feel. Then I hear his voice from above, Saying, "Mama hold on," "Don't let go," "It's hard, we know," "Life shouldn't happen like this," "Having to miss," "Only memories to hold," "In a world so cold!" I look to the skies, With tears in my eyes, Asking God why, It was him that died! Always wondering if he hears my cries. Then I hear his voice from above, Saying, "Mama hold on," "Don't let go," "It's hard, we know," "Life shouldn't happen like this," "Having to miss," "Only memories to hold," "In a world so cold!" Steady, trying to find ways to live on, Motivation is hard to find, now that he's gone, Knowing we will meet again, Keeps me from going insane, In my heart he remains, I feel his love pumping through my veins. May he forever rest in peace, My baby boy, your memory will never cease! I hear his voice from above, Saying, "Mama hold on," "Don't let go," "It's hard, we know," "Life shouldn't happen like this," "Having to miss," "Only memories to hold," "In a world so cold!" © 2015 Danielle TaylorReviews
