The Hunt

The Hunt

A Poem by Danielle Thilette
"

This Poem is based on the movie and book White Oleander.

"

I see through a hunter's eyes bold with my aim naked in my innocence strong in stance I back down for no one. No one man will bring me to my knees. We are the vikings. I regret nothing. I see nothing. Though I feel everything. Sweetness lured you to this honey bee unaware of her harsh sting. She creeps up like the clouds. I see through hunter's eyes. Alone deserted. Its alright. You cannot escape lonliness. You cope. You let it mold you. Let it create independence in your heart and a tsunami in your mind. Killing. Destroying hope. Believe in you. Nothing and No One else matters. A poison so sweet you drink it just to die float to heaven and drink it again.  Under control and never dull.

"Sweetness lured you to this honey bee unaware of her harsh sting." - I like that ... In fact, I like the whole piece ... so full of powerful emotions. The strange bond between hunter and hunted. The ritual of the hunt. xxx
