This Kiss

This Kiss

A Poem by Danielle Thilette

I want a kiss from someone.

I know he is aware of who he is.

My heart pours it doesn’t matter

That I am no longer yours.

Our kiss is mine to keep.

Our kiss is a fire starter,

Burning charring everything

Beneath our feet. I want a kiss from a man

That knew when to tell me secrets,

Knew how to keep me heated.

 Angered me like none other.

I want this kiss to taste my sadness

And salivate it entirely

So that it may dissolve into nothing.

Ah yes .... it started with a kiss ... so much in a kiss (or so it can be) ... haunting, daunting ...

Like it. xxx
