The Philosopher

The Philosopher

A Poem by Danielle Renee

Troubled blue eyes search for reason in
the faces of strangers and friends. You
fear humanity has been lost through the
years in which we have become dependent
on satellites and towers for our obtuse
communications.

You have become the cynic that the civilized
and mundane refuse to accept.

Full lips hide a smile that comes only in truth,

not forced or plastered by what is expected.

Fortunately for both you and I, we speak the same language.

Hi Danielle,
I love your amazing poem.
I felt myself like the person referred to as "you" in your poem .
My most favorite line is:

"Fortunately for both you and I, we speak the same language."
Best regards,
Zainul
