Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by Danielle Renee

He whispers her name
Into the creases of the
Folded pillows that
Surround his sleeping
Head. She’s wandering
Through his dreams in
Her silent, but enchanting
Way. And he struggles
To keep this dream alive,
To make his feet move
And catch her again before
She leaves. But he knows
He’s too late, as she is
Slowly fading with the
With night, becoming
The ghost of any love
He could ever manage.
