A Poem by Danielle Renee

Needle pricks
scabbing hides
and blood bubbles
from entry sites.
Fast moving drug
sets into your
bloodstream sending
you into high
oblivion.
Eyes roll to whites
and mouth foams
and your body jerks
without rhythm
and you look so
pitiful squirming
on the floor.
