Promise Lands of Forever

Promise Lands of Forever

A Poem by Danielle Renee

Sometime ago
I brought the
ghost of you
the promise
lands of forever.
We wasted time
spinning circles
in fields of wild
flowers, crushing
petals and stems
as we went. And
as the days grew
shorter I realized
that the time we
shared meant
nothing and I was
only your way out.
