Liar

Liar

A Poem by Danielle Renee

I’ve realized that you aren’t made of bones,
But of lies.
And they hold you together,
Allowing you to function.
But they should be tearing you apart,
Instead of keeping you sane.
You shouldn’t be happy
When you build from lies.
Somehow you keep living
Even though you no longer know
What’s real
Or what you feel.

Sounds like a couple people I know. I think your piece captures the sentiment very strongly and direct to the reader. Well put together ink!
