is it a sin?

why do we long for

something we just cant win?

When will we see?

That for a broken heart 

Shattered by pain

There is no key

Why are we lost?

Hopelessly searching

for that someone

No matter the cost?

How do we retreat

From Loves battlefield?

broken and beaten

Facing defeat

Who has the key

to our lonely tomb?

Who is there

To set us free?

Is Love a crime?

Or just a test of time?

Love a crime? I don't think so, more so the ways we go about finding and the reasons we justify hurt and pain associated with it.

when i wrote this i was thinking of how it can feel as if your doing something wrong by loving someone, when you feel like they dont appreciate it and you tear yourself up over it constantly wondering why and what you did wrong, thank you for your feedback its very much appreciated :)

Even if they don't appreciate it, you can't change what you genuinely feel. Thinking something you're doing is wrong, implies that you think you can change it, and if it's an honest to God feeling, you can't no matter how much you may try. Though, I've been down the same line of questioning for myself in such situations, so I can relate. No matter what you decide though, what you end up "realizing"- you have to accept the person and they're choice in that moment and either hope, or forget, and forgive. You're welcome.
