Blue Roses

Blue Roses

A Poem by Daniel Eakin

Blue roses sit on peach-yellow sills.

Green leaves bask in white sunlight.

The morning sun wakes up the land.

The clouds are like the wool of a lamb.

Pink tulips rise from brown earth.

They make the task seem easy.

Blue roses sit on peach-yellow sills.

Green leaves bask in white sunlight.

The evening moon is behind the clouds.

It hides and plays like a clown.

The day sun will return.

The bright, basking light will be real.

Blue roses sit on peach-yellow sills.

Green leaves bask in white sunlight.
