Sestina: CornA Poem by Lucas GrashaSestina: Corn I see nothing but corn. I know nothing but corn. I eat nothing but corn. I speak nothing but corn. I hear nothing but corn. I do nothing but harvest corn. I do nothing but have sex in fields of corn. I sleep on a bed of corn. I walk in nothing but fields of corn. I dream of nothing but corn. I think of nothing but corn. I vomit nothing but corn. I lactate nothing but corn. I defecate nothing but corn. I urinate nothing but corn. I philosophize nothing but corn. I run on roads of corn. I lift weights made of corn. I drive a tractor made of corn. I write books about the history of corn. I make musicals about corn. I compose symphonies about corn. I built my house out of corn. I am married to a woman made out of corn. I have farmhands made of corn. I remember nothing from my childhood but corn. I have a family composed of corn. I make cowboy hats made of corn. I slaughter beeves with corn. I study nothing but corn. I wash my car with corn. I slay dragons with corn. I deliver lectures at universities about corn. I observe the behavior of corn. I calculate equations of corn. I categorize corn. I pilot planes made of corn. I sometimes pretend I am corn. I have air made of corn. I have pigeons made of corn. I built a boat made of corn. I do nothing but stare at corn. I have corn made of corn. I am corn. I am nothing but corn. © 2011 Lucas GrashaAuthor's Note
