So Forgetful...

So Forgetful...

A Poem by Lucas Grasha

The little faith in me you have left,

something so wretched, something to detest.

Such horrors I cannot express,

but from me, what else do you expect?

Am I special? And only to you?

And trust in me, you try to renew?

It is broken easily, so fragile,

nothing worth saving, nothing worthwhile.

You say that I lie, claim hypocrisy,

say I deceive like aristocracy.

But such is not, you’re unaware

that I just simply do not care.

Stop complaining and just give in,

forget me, and let your life begin.

It is refreshing to see a poem about something maybe a little more rare than the standard issue love poem or emo poem. It represents a real but often ignored aspect.

As usual, very well written, Luke. I shall try at yet another failed review, but I hope this will help you keep writing :)

Sometimes the best way for people who no longer love us is to just tell them to forget about us, however hard that may be. I can see that, maybe, bein the inspiration for this poem. It flows easily, and the message is clear. It paints a wonderful, yet sad, picture in my mind as I read these words.

Very well done :) I loved it!!

Powerful write, Luke. Small distraction in line 11, where context would suggest "you're" instead of "you've". Nice touch with the visual rhyme of "fragile" and "worthwhile". Well done.

Nice write, and i felt it quiet dark (in my view).
and the ending is so powerful.

A interesting request in the poem. Sometime hard to forgive people for what they done. I like the desire of being allow in again. Sometime the door is locked forever when the deeds left the heart to bleed. A excellent poem.
