Meaningfull

Meaningfull

A Poem by Lucas Grasha

Let this be meaningful when I’m lost here,

when I cannot find anything but fear.

When these roads offer nothing but more pain,

not just from the tarmac, but the bullet-rain.

Let this be meaningful when I find no comfort in her,

even when she speaks, she finds the right words.

But I want her as a lover, not just a friend,

for love is the only thing to cure my end.

Let this be meaningful when I cry out my eyes,

when I need people the most, they only say goodbye.

It’s this loneliness I feel, but it’s something she can cure,

I hope she knows this, but I can’t be sure.

Let this be meaningful the moment I break,

at that moment, no more suffering will I take.

I will fall down with one final stride,

and collapse with all the other who’ve previously died.

But let me mean something for this moment again,

because again will never come if we find out I’m dead.

Deep, meaningful poem. The title describes it well.

I love the message that it gives, and there could be no greater praise that I can think of besides, I LOVE IT!!!! Shelved in Favorites :)

This is my kind of poetry, soul, passion and words put together in real poetic form, sadly rarely seen on this site. Looking forward to reading more of your work x

This is amazing! Brilliantly constructed, nurishing rhymes, wonderful idealistic proportions. Incredible! Very saddening, as well. Ensnared my attention from the first line. Well done!
