A very feminine and mysterious kind of write by you D, one that makes me anticipate what's going on. Was she contemplating suicide? Does she change her mind once confronted by the warm light of the sun? What is she wondering...a new beginning, a new life? Where did she come from? Or maybe, I'm totally wrong in my interpretation! Yes, so many questions plague my brain as I take in this piece. You offer some nice images, captivating the reader on a brief, anonymous journey of this woman, of you[?]. In all of its mystery this poem offers a finality of hope and I get the feeling you are going to add more to this piece. I like it!
i took this spun it around and enjoyed the short powerful message i interpreted.....i enjoy the fact the one is at one point powerless to the warmth of the sun...life...their own self.....then in as instant.....captivated by the human instinct of how.....great!!
the title speaks for itself, as the poem opens up to readers and at the same time lets us ponder on what it was all about. The magic of the beach, perhaps? on a widow's walk? Staring near a lake? in a dessert? The possibilities are endless, and that is what made it enjoyable to read: the mystery, the airy light beauty of wonder.
the true essense of pondering and you've captured it masterfully danielle, ilove the metaphor
and how you bring your words to life, lets face it, its brilliant and refreshing.
Dani you write with such depth of meaning, my mind searches your deep words and often times I am in awe of what they reveal to me, but they are my interpretation, not necessarily yours. I love your sentences...
Sporadic gusts of wind lift single strands of hair,
I greedily accept while standing still in this spot,
Again a great and brilliant poem that only my favorite poet in the world DC,
Dani California could write!
Keep writing Dani,
keep writing from the depths of your soul for the good of all souls!
For all the good and light you have shine upon all those in despair and suffering, your time is now comming to shine as a great world poet and you shall bask in all its honor!
Truly a short and very creative write!
Always,
Tim
A Noiseless Patient Spiderby Walt Whitman
A noiseless patient spider,
I mark'd where on a little promontory it stood isolated,
Mark'd how to explore the vacant vast surrounding,
It launch'd fort.. more..
