Here I Stand

Here I Stand

A Poem by Dani California

Here I stand

On the edge of your pain

My heart aches for you

Bleeding on cue

Though sees not which you sustain

Here I stand

In the midst of your strife

I reach for your hand

Try to understand

Though know not of your life

Here I stand

In the realm of your existence

My love calls to you

Eternal and true

Though feels only your resistance

Here I stand

In the corner of your mind

My soul shadowed in place

Reveals to you its face

Though yours, I cannot find

Here I stand

In the center of love’s will

My heart holding on

Your resistance still strong

Though here I stand,

Yet still

Your writting always pulls at my heart strings. Educated and precise. There is a beautiful heart in you that you are not shy to share with your readers. Your poem oozes with sarrow and strength in the same brush stroke. And what a wonderful picture you paint. I love to read everything that you write. Will you sign my book when you write one?

This was a wonderful poem that you wrote.
These are the words you inspired me to write.

The love you share
standing beside the one you love.

Open arms and waiting
standing beside the one you love.

Love calls out among the wild flowers
flowing upon the breeze of eternal love.

The windows of your souls, flourish
Upon Gods painted soul

A paradise of heaven
Awaits among the grains of sand

Here he stands amongst you,
Embracing the love you show
For one another.

Emotionally charged, simplicity of tone yet deeply moving and surreal. Wonderful combination of thoughts, beauty, emotion and truth as we live. You have such a talent of seeing deeper in the aspects of the psyche and writing it in an elegant tone. I simply love your work.

It is like an angel waiting to bring peace and comfort, and the person refuses to see. The same thing that makes who we truly are is also the same which makes an angel, so humans are as angelic. You are an angel in this world. Much love to you, Dani...

That is just...wow.

What I really like is the break from the pattern at the very end...the rhyme scheme. It just hits the feelings right, mixes things up a bit.

Painful when trying to get to someone...

what a wonderful write, Dani! i can almost feel you standing there looking into the heart and soul of who ever you are trying to reach with this work. it reminds me of something that i have been through of late.

it's a bit sad, it shows that you really want to reach out and truly help, but are meeting the resistance and reluctance of the other. hope it works out, my friend....

Always,
