When peace is near

When petty differences

Have all disappeared

When complaints aren't valid

When the owner of faith

Has cast its ballot

When positive is king

When negative is beheaded

And all the land doth sing

Wake me up

When love is cherished

When evil gave up

And hate finally perished

Wake me up

When that new day begins

For today passed away

When it let yesterday in.

This was, as I already said, amazing. Capturing that perfect yesterday which we all long for in such a vivid and descriptive way, I'm bound by some spell.

I really like the positive messages you are bringing in your poetry

The frustration is evident but the reoccuring wake me up, adds a bit of playfulness to it as well.
It became less angry, and more creatively fun through reading each word.

Very cleaver. And yes the stupid attitudes in this world are boring and a waist of time. So to those with bad attitudes I join in the sleep wake me up when there gone. Good thought. And it helps us see how we need to be to others to help them on their journey.

This is so incredible, I can just imagine waking up to these beautiful heartfelt wishes
that many a man/woman wishes too, I too wish for such peace, for such love, but I choose
to be awake to be of aide in anyway and bring them ashore, knowing well that "Wake Me Up"
is merely a gesture of dislike to all these bad thing, and if only evil would just give up, and
not only will peace be near but it will come and make our abode within us first. Oh, my dear,
this is certainly a most prominent piece filled with wishes from a genuine heart, something
every heart and soul wants, you did a very magnificent job with this wonderful piece!
