SpiderwebA Poem by dangerbooze
Take a peek into the abyss
Do you like what you see? Winding spirals of hate Tendrils of sorrow that cling to your soul Do you enjoy it? Please do be honest Tell me what you think of the labyrinth of cruelty Poisonous words more harsh than life. It is a mystery, no? How could this reside in such a person? The agony of living Past traumas forced to the surface How could such a person survive? I shall tell you a secret, yes? How does one persevere? It must be some complex reply! Isn't it? No! Surely you jest! Why, of course it is quite simple Embrace all of it little by little Take the pain of others into yourself It can't possibly hurt more than your own! Ah, I do hope you'll forgive me I seemed to have told you something false What could it be, you must wonder You feel it now, don't you? Do you feel it too much? There is an easy way out It's right there before you Pay no mind to what others tell you You should still end up where you want So give me this much My helpless little fly What is it like Peering this deep into my mind?
