Downpour

Downpour

A Poem by dangerbooze
"

This follows after Inferno. It makes more sense to read it second.

"
You were once
the thread that mended the rips and tears in my soul
whose kindness washed away my tears
who nurtured me like a newborn foal
who chased away the darkness in my fears

You used to be
the fairy who rewarded me for teeth lost
the saint who made me believe in magic
who defended me no matter the cost
who sheltered me from experiences most tragic

You
who I can no longer trust
who hurt me with ridicule
whose love feels so unjust
who made me feel like a fool

I
am forcefully leaving this nest
to fall or to fly
watch me attempt this life's test
or hear me whisper good bye.

Very much like my own life. Good work

I really can't review this objectively. Something about it just made me want to cry and cry and cry. It's really beautiful, really sad, and I absolutely think is such an innocent, wonderful stanza:

You used to be
the fairy who rewarded me for teeth lost
the saint who made me believe in magic
who defended me no matter the cost
who sheltered me from experiences most tragic

REALLY good.

I'm a lazy writer. I write what I feel when I feel like it. But to be more specific, I have a constant case of writer's block about pretty much every thought that I can think of or even consider. .. more..
