The Lecture

The Lecture

A Poem by dangerbooze
"

Always wanted to say this to the many people who have walked out of my life.

"
They say that eyes are windows to the soul
You see it now, don't you?
The hate laced with anguish
It certainly can't be true

Is it really so hard to believe?
I am not as rose-tinted as you thought
Wrap yourself in a shroud of jealousy
One misspoken word and you'll be caught

I am not as clever as you
Nor am I as quick to annihilate
But continue to treat me as you have
And learn the cruel lesson known as fate.

About
I'm a lazy writer. I write what I feel when I feel like it. But to be more specific, I have a constant case of writer's block about pretty much every thought that I can think of or even consider. .. more..
