The Warrior

The Warrior

A Poem by Daniel Gardner
"

Hmmm.

"

It's bee twenty long years since he passed that test
A very good teacher he would become
Not to fail like all the rest
His battles became the stuff of legend
Stories the told of him
Of his supposed dying breath
He accomplished the impossible
With out even trying enemies bounced off his chest
Time takes its toll
The body goes the way of all flesh
From dust we were born
Dust we become at death
Not this warrior though
He lives on
This is no jest
He fights day and night
Striking foes down so we can rest
The warrior is a man
A man tougher then one would guess
IF you marry such a warrior
Never forget
He strives to pass every test

A dedicated figure!
I like the modernity to the poem, warrior poems are often told differently, I like this!

A interesting poem. Warrior (Soldiers, Policeman and fireman.) can't rest and their fight never to end. Geronimo fought for 50 years till he got tire and turn himself in. In the end. Life is a test.
