Sinister Minister

Sinister Minister

A Poem by Daniel Gardner
"

On the fly

"
I see you up there all alone
I never can reach you on the phone
I have to see you each Sunday
To listen to you preach
A venomous speech

You Guide me along the wall
But you cannot catch me when I fall
Truly I ask you can you hear the call
Of the Angels who guided Paul

No you lie and say you do
The serpent I see in you
More money you want
The plate you pass around in front

I flee from you
A victim I will not be in your hunt

Yes the serpents are many. Best to escape and run from them. Better to be free and clear then a victim of the hunt. A outstanding poem. Thank you.

S.M. has a touch of Irreverence which I love.. ~~~Great title ~~~
I love the 3rd verse especially and the ending is right on the $$...
Those tie breaking ministers are sinister indeed..
