The wind rushes past my body. It envelops me in a coccoon of rushing current. It beats againt my face and whips my loose fitting clothing, twisting and contorting them into a wriggly mass.
I run my fingers through it like warm liquid silk. I smile as the warm sun kisses my face.
I feel weightless. Physically as well as emotionally. The wind lifts the burden from my shoulders and flings it far behind me. I revel in the novelty and carelessness of my new environment. The sun and the wind melt away my cares, my stresses.
Finally, I open my eyes. I stare off into the nothing, my mind a blank slate. All the cares of the world dashed into the wind! Joy overtakes me! I spread my arms, embracing my new friends, the sun and wind, the only ones I have, and the last ones I'll ever need!
Flesh meets dirt, bone meets rock. The earth returned the loving embrace in the only way it knew how.
