Vampire kisses -Chapter 11-

A Chapter by DancingInTheDark

I found Christina still in my room. She was making my bed and straitening things up.

“Thanks” I told her.

“No problem: she replied smiling “So what did Master Jace want?”

“Not much. He just wants us to fix up a room for a new girl that will be coming here. He said you would be able to pick the room just fine” I explained. Christina looked at me cautiously.

“And you...agreed to this? Christina asked slowly. ‘You didn’t start yelling?!

"Well, you see I was going to, but then I realized that was what he wanted me to do, so I didn't. He tried to trick me but I caught him." I told her triumphantly.

"But, by you not exploding all you did was say that he's got his point across and your willing to do what he says now." She replied, one eye brow raised.

“That’s what you think” I replied.

“I’m starting to seriously worry about you” Christina told me, shaking her head. I laughed knowing that she probably was right to worry about me.

“I’ll go find a room. You stay put and don’t do anything…stupid” I watched Christina leave the room, then stood there silently not sure what to do. I stared at the wall and start to feel a little woozy for some reason. I didn’t understand why but it was the weirdest feeling. I turned around to look at the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

As I turned around I came face to face with a sight I never excepted. Two little girls, probably only three feet tall. Both of them had snow white hair, though one eyes glowed a beautiful blue and the others green. They are a vision of childhood beauty in their angelic white gowns. I had to blink twice to make sure they were really there. A pair of white, feathery wings sat on each of their backs. The blue eyed girls wings were fully extended with the green eyed girls remained coiled on her back.

“Hello Aria” Said one of the girls, her voice dripping of sweetness like candy.

“Who are you?” I asked suspiciously, grabbing the candle from the table next to me just in case I needed protection of some kind. The green eyed girl laughed slightly at my actions. Her laughing rang with a joy like that of the wedding bells that belonged to my small town’s chapel.

“Please don’t fear us Aria. We are your friends, were here to set you free” the blue eyed girl told me.

“My name is Carla” the other said “And this is my sister and friend Carly” Carla said, motioning towards the blue eyed girl. Well if that isn’t confusing I don’t know what is. I thought silently. It had always bugged me when mothers gave their twins names that were so similar sounding.

“Our mother has heard of your distress and wishes to set you free of this place and of your captor Jace” Carly told me. My heart skipped a beat at the thought of escaping that dreadful place. Leaving Jace behind and going back to living my life. Newborn Vampire or not I missed my family and friends. But then my heart dropped when I thought of Christina. I was beginning to really trust me. Despite that however, I reasoned how incredible it would to be free right here, right now. Even before my five days of trial were up. As much as I like Christina I liked My grandmother and Schuler more, I would do anything to be with them again. I was about to respond to Carly’s request but another thought crossed my mind.

"he would find me” I said quietly.

“Dear, sweet Aria, do you not think our mother has factored that? We will make sure he never touched you again” Carla explained to me. I breathe din deeply, sifting through my thoughts. I then eyes Carla and Carly suspiciously.

“This all seems awfully convenient. How do I not know you are lying to me? How do I know you are not really vampires in disguise, or that you do not serve some kind of evil creature” I asked, my tone demanding an answer.

“Well firstly, we have no evidence to suggest we do not lie, you will simply have to trust us” was all Carla could say. “but I can assure you, vampires cannot disguise themselves as angels. It’s just not possible. And as for your last question, why would a vampire go through all the trouble of trying to capture you? No offence but you are nothing special, you are one among hundreds on newborns. Besides Jace is one of the most powerful vampires around. No other Vampire would dare to take what he has stolen”

“Then why does your mother dare to do that?”

“Because she is brave and powerful. She can destroy Jace. Where vampire’s powers fail, hers begins. Carly says now, her voice filled with so much pride I would have though she was talking about god. I thought over their proposal in my head. In the back of my I can hear the faint rapping on a door. My eyes turned to look at my own door but it didn’t seem to be coming from there. The more I tried to focus on it, the farther away the sound seemed until all I could hear was a light hum.

“So what do you say?” Carly asked, her eyes hopeful. I knew that my answer should be yes. I knew that I should have no hesitation. So, why did I? I couldn’t understand it. Something in my gut was telling me no, but the rest of me was saying yes. I wrestled with myself for a while until I finally concluded that my short stay with Jace had made me too paranoid.

“Take me away from here” I said finally, my voice faking complete confidence. Carla and Carly smiled broadly, their bright glow of happiness filling the room.

“Then come. You will never have to see this place again” Carla says, joining her sister, who was closer to me. She took one of my wrists, Carly taking the other. Suddenly a strange feeling overcame me and the world in front of me began to dim.

“What’s going on?” I whispered faintly.

“Shh, everything will be just fine” I heard the voice of a woman whisper. I tried to shake loose the feeling but I couldn’t. Just as my world began to fade into darkness I heard another voice, a strangely familiar one yelling my name in the distance. But within second, all noise and all consciousness faded away from me.
