I Am

I Am

A Poem by A. M. Charles

I am of the Sun and Moon.
I am made of the rich earth beneath your feet
The sultry roll of the ocean's waves.
I am made of the wind dancing through the trees
and the fury burning in the soul of mankind.
I am the power of a child's first laugh,
The knowledge shining in the eyes of the crone.
I am the joy of sex, the mystery of death.
I am the warrior, the mother, the witch, the priestess.
I am Love.
I am Hope.
I am Goddess.
