How many of us have thought these very words when accidentally hurting another, whether it be car wrecks, stepping on someones toes, or even saying something that hurts someone we love. I think we can all relate to this one way or another!

Were you meaning to say "cost a life" instead of "caused a life"? But other than that the poem isn't too bad. Its short and simple, yet it touches on often complex and long lasting emotions and situations.
