Dancing In The Rain

Dancing In The Rain

A Poem by Tasha
"

A couple that loves to dance in the rain...

"
A couple we are
That is in love
Holds hands
As you lead me outside
You grab my hand
And spin me around
Whispering in my ear
You have something
Important to tell me
I look at you worried
But your warm smile
Washes that feeling away
You grab both my hands
And tell me
Everything's gonna be okay
I look up at you
As a raindrop hits your nose
You get down on one knee
My heart skips a beat,
The rhythm of the rain picks up
Just like the beat of my heart;
Could it be?
Will I finally get my chance?
You look at me through the rain
And say...
"Baby I love you and you're the best thing I've ever had..."
"Will you marry me?"
"Yes,yes"   I say helping him stand up
He takes my hand
And we spin around and dance
As the rain hits us harder
And I could care less
If I catch a cold
Because I'm with my one true love...
And that's all that matters

You bring a fairy tale of dreams with this, and that true love sort of dreamy feeling that many dream about wanting, having. This is really nice, you express the imagery nicely carried out through out the write. The love within it shows as well; as a nice story in a poem. Good write, enjoyed a lot.

This is excellent!!! A very happy poem...I love the mention of the rain...It reminds me of a great Bob Marley quote "Some people just stand in the rain and enjoy the moment, those who run from it only get wet" Excellent poem though...Good job Tasha

I love the subject you chose! I like poems that contain stories. I got an exhilirated feeling from the last paragraph.

It's a well written narrative poem. Just a consideration, this piece could easily be turned into a well written narrative story. I'd enjoy connecting with the characters. I think it would better express their love and help me (the reader) connect with them on my own level.
