Catch Me

Catch Me

A Poem by Tasha
"

How writing and I found each other.

"
When life was going haywire
You were there to catch me
To hold me,
To stand me upright,
You caught me from living a life
That could possibly be like
A toppling staircase,
A point of no return
When you caught me
You showed me there is more to life
Than letting it pass me by
Life can be more than a played out
Sitcom,
It can be a story I create,
I'm the director of

Catch me,
Hold me,
Steer me,
So I know where I'm going
Catch me,
Don't let me fall back
To where I use to be
When you caught me
You showed me a life
That I have never seen before,
You handed me a pen and said
"You better start writing your story..."
And so I did...

Now its a habit
I can't break,
Its a secret addiction
But a good addiction indeed
When you caught  me
You made my life
All the more better,
Thank you so much for catching me...

I love these lines .. I really believe it's us who write our own fate .. we decide where to go, what will happen to us etc, we just have to make the right choices. The poem overall was good and it is always comforting to have somebody to give us advice and help us as we are in this journey of life.

Very strong undertones here and you've captured that emotional bond that us writers have to our writing perfectly.

I'd say my favorite lines are:
'You handed me a pen and said
"You better start writing your story..."
And so I did...'
