Rain Down On Me

Rain Down On Me

A Poem by Tasha
"

Raining everywhere.

"
All the pain,
All the losses in life
Fall into my lap
And I need an umbrella
To protect me from the rain,
It's a thunderstorm of darkness
A thunderstorm of hurt
And all I can do is watch
The rain fall down on me
I run and hide
So I won't get wet,
I try to hide from the truth
But it always ends up
Finding me
So I sit in this spot
And hope the storm
Is over soon
As I watch it all
Rain down on me

The truth is that you get wetter running in the rain instead of walking and here as a metaphor I feel running from the problem and the pain only makes it worse, better to walk away head held high and let it wash over you, for in the pausing can we claim something of ourselves back realising we are beaten but not broken, tomorrow is another day and without them we are still us. Keep em' coming

Life can be overwhelming just like a rainstorm and there just seems no way to get out of it but to let it pass. A very well done write I can relate to!

Brings a new meaning to 'singing in the rain'. But seriously, it's beautifully tragic and very true.

throw your umbrella to one side , stand and stretch your hands to each side of you and fling your head back .... let the rain flow over you taking with it all the hurt and pain that has ever been ... then reach out and touch the future only you can build ..... and then smile :)

To be honest, the poem sounds honest, but it does seem upside down. The format seems upside down. It might work better with the wide end on the bottom like real raindrops.

A powerful poem. I like the feel and desire in this poem. Life can overtake us. We need space to be free and find time to think. It moved almost like music. A excellent poem.
