Yes, I can see how that would be a puzzle! I like how when Paul defines love in 1st Corinthians chapter 13 of the New Testament he tells us more of what love "is not" than of what love is. Still, it is a really good yardstick for measuring the truth of love. Love is not maligned by itself but by the lies that surround it and the misconceptions that dull its understanding. I am printing tee shirts that say: LOVE IS: HARD WORK, RESPONSIBILTY AND SACRIFICE. Now, show me ONE person who wants to "fall in" hard work, responsibility and sacrifice! But I know for a certainty that love is those very things! I like your song here...it points out some great flaws in the logic of the statement.

Such a wonderful song this is. I could see it in my mind and hear it playing already. =) Nicely done with the lyrics. I love it!! Love is difficult to understand. But cherish love as its hard when its gone. Yet don't fall for people who use love to control you. Its weird when a person loves someone dearly but their actions don't match the words they speak of. Ohh..go figure love right?? ha yeah. . .

"ditto" what Fabian said. So many forms of love though, the love of a friend, of a spirit that you adore is not the same as a 24-7 kind of all encompassing spend every moment in your arms kind of love. So very few people are just capable of being just a friend we love to have when the romantic love is not reciprocated, the pain of that type of edurement can be too overwhelming to be what the other person needs from us...which is unconditional love and friendship.
