Faded MemoriesA Poem by TashaWriting prompt response
Back in second grade we were enemies
I stuck gum in your hair, And you hated me for it You made me sit in glue It was your way of getting even In third grade we were partnered For a science project, I thought the teacher did that For laughs But the more we got to know Each other The more we realized We had so much in common We've been best friends Ever since, But now you've changed You're not the same You've found a new crowd I'm not "cool" any more, And all that we've been through Is now a faded memory That can never be clear again
