Watching My Prey

Watching My Prey

A Poem by Tasha
"

Obsession and wanting revenge.

"
Getting ready
Looking my best
Tonight I will put you to the test
The test of self control,

You won't even know its me
You can sense that someone is watching you
But you don't know who,
That's what it should feel like when I'm
Watching my prey

Waiting for you to mess up
Waiting for you to make a mistake
A mistake that could damage
Everything we had
And worked hard for

I walk up to you in my light blue mask
I tap your shoulder
And give you a long passionate kiss,

The party stops
Not a word is said
I turn around to runaway
But halfway out the door someone catches my hand
I smile to myself,
I spun  around so fast
I couldn't even see who it was

Whoever it was returned the passionate kiss
Making my heart skip a few beats
I had to do what I had to do,
I pulled my dagger from around my ankle
And I stabbed him,
I watched as my prey fell helplessly to the ground
I kissed his cheek as I watched him fall
Into a deep never ending sleep

Since I've been away for a while I thought I'd come back with a bang. I hope you like it. Sorry I went crazy with the colors.

The colors really make each statement stand out and add flavor to an already fantastic piece. This had a good rhythm, even if it took me a moment to catch on to it. However, the flow is disrupted in the fifth stanza with the word 'spinned' when 'spun' would be the appropriate term. Other than that, it's a great poem! :)

Stunning piece!! I love it! And I like the use of your colors actually. It makes the words stand out and give that attention. Hmm this is quite different I must say.. It was interesting though! Quite a unique perception.. hmm.. it made me feel a bit creepy but fascinated at the same time. lol.
LOVE this! Another wonderful work.. =D I enjoyed reading it!

Revenge is a dish best served cold, but not one I would endorse.
You told the story well and the colours added to highlight the emotions. Though perhaps one or two to many, never-the-less an excellent poem :0)

I thought the colors were a excellent touch. I also am feeling this one. It is dark and not something I would read everyday. Well penned.

I understand the use of the colours, light/dark blue and purple but forgive me, i dont quite understand the use of the others. This is definitely a Bang! I like this, its a very renaissance feel to it. A very surprising ending. I thought ur persona was going to "fall madly in love".

Is this a poem about revenge? Maybe a lover/boyfriend possibly hurt you. The mask could be symbolic of you changing from who u were takin on new characteristics. Or maybe it could jsu be a symbol if deception sincce much deception was used here. When he kissed you, did u almost fall for him again until u forced urself to stick to ur purpose, hurting him-killing him the way he most have killed you before.

This was a joy reading- just personally think some of the colours could be muted but thts just me. Great job

Oh snap! At first I thought "Wait I can see where this is going..." and then you flipped it. The colours do help settle the mood with each line. Well worked!
