Closer

Closer

A Poem by Tasha
"

2 people coming together again.

"
In the past we use to be close,
We could talk about anything
And everything,
Our secrets were always safe

Then one day we hit a wall
We began fighting all the time,
It was something we never did

We stopped talking
And ignored each other,
Spending holidays together were a thing of the past

But now five years later
We're closer than ever
Finally brought back into each other's lives
By heartache, but at least we get to reconcile
At least we get the chance to do that
Because most people don't even get to say "I'm sorry"

And now we're closer than ever...
And a wedge will never develop again..

So many people will relate to the sentiments expressed in this poem! Often is is a moment of heartache that bring estranged friends and family back together, allowing them to see that life is too short and time is too precious to allow fractions to form and keep them apart!

Most people dont get to say sorry because they either miss or refuse to see the opportunities to do so!

I say live with no regrets!!

I liked this piece and I think it was well written, there's just something missing (in my opinion).. unfortunately I can't put my finger on it yet. If I figure it out I'll let you know. But I did enjoy it and I love how you bring the emotion out

You are right, most people don't even get to apologise. Some even have the worst separation, and being far from each other, they still spit their hatred against each other.
Sometimes being apart may heal past wounds, and when they are together again, they are closer than ever, in a warm relationship.
Lovely write

You missed out the "d" after the word use. Could be a typographical error though.

Anyway, I've been to situations like that. We used to be an extended family. We thought it was okay living together, but as time passed by we saw each other's flaws and started to drift apart. But then time heals all wounds. We forgot about it and we're okay now-- spending hoilidays together.

Moments like these bring a smile to my face as im sure there is someone in everyones life who we wish we could make amends with. But at the same times i think it can be better not to, but in this case it was definitely a good thing. great read!.
