Blank Pages

A Poem by Tasha
"

Overcoming writers block.

"
Blank pages stare at me
And mock everything I do,
They fill my mind
With empty thoughts
Being unable to write,
To process
Every idea
That comes to mind

Blank pages stare at me
And mock everything I do,
They make my hand become stiff
Making it hard to hold my pen,
To grasp thoughts
That are so desperate to
Break free

Blank pages stare at me
And mock everything I do,
But I'm doing something about it
I'm writing anyway
Putting all thoughts aside
To write
So I stare at the now filled pages

Wow, I should start doing this when I have writers' block. I hate writers' block! It drives me insane! It seriously does. I love this poem. Thank you for the wonderful suggestion to overcome writers' block. I'll try that next time that happens. Keep writing! :)

I like that there are three stanzas. I like how you do the last few lines seem more important because they are off center so to speak. You have good repetition and good enjambments, but its blue. The first thing I noticed was that its blue. To be honest, there are so many people on here who color their text something other than black you wouldn't stand out much. You shouldn't have the color decide what emotions the poem emits. Blue= sad, but your last stanza suggests that its not really a sad poem as much as a frustrated one. Frustrated by writers block. All writers understand that feeling, its just that if I saw your poem and I hadn't decided that I was going to review all the poems in my request box I would probably ignore it because its blue.

Wow! That's good and just eradicates your problem, excellent! Now if something magical like that were to happen to me, I would be grateful to you. Simple, yet astounding!

Amazing, that totally spoke to my writers block. It yelled, "What the hell are you doing sitting on your butt like that?! Get up there and play the game with the big guns!!!" I know, doesn't make since to me either.

This is ironic. Writing about not being able to write when you can't write! I almost lost myself there...
I like it.

It is summer. Time to create life and experiences. Always harder to write in the summer. Take a long walk and find some fun somewhere. A poem that many people are feeling on these beautiful summer days. Hard to write poetry when the sun is bright. A excellent poem.

I like this. You should read my poems Wordless and Writer's Block, this is exactly what I do when I'm stuck.
