I think everyone has good in them.

Everyone has good in them,

But its up to them to find it

Within themselves

No matter who you are

Or where you come from,

Light shines through

Even in darkness

When everyone else sees 

The beast in you,

There's a speck of light

Desperately trying to be seen

So everyone can see you for

Who you are

So everyone can see the real you

Very true. I like this poem. It holds a lot of meaning without having lines and lines of rambling like some other poems. (I, myself, am guilty of this...)

I agree Ta'Shandra...I think if you are naturally a good person, it shines through for all to see. You can't hide it. We all have different things going on in our lives, but you are either a good guy or a bad guy....and whatever is thrown in our direction...we deal with it in the right way or not...but at the end of the day...our hearts rule.
I think you are very good at poetry...cos it's shining throuh for all to see.
