Runaway

Runaway

A Poem by Tasha
"

Running doesn't always fix the problem.

"
When the going gets tough
The tough get going
And they runaway,
They runaway from everything they  once knew
Scared from the fear of never finding true love
Or ever finding peace with themselves,
So they runaway and never look back
Because to them its safer to run and hide
Rather than face the truth...

Gosh, i can relate to this poem so well! Amazing. =D Its short, simple, but goes straight to the point. I've always had these moments when I wanna run away..but yes, running away doesn't always fix the problem. Its simply just not confronting what you need to do. *sigh* This is an eye-opener and an inspiring poem at the same time. Great write though! ^o^

one may want to run away...but we have always to come back and face the consequences...some are brave enough to do it...others are not and live the rest of their lives wondering....shame really..

It is a wonderful poem, it is short but holds so much to think and talk about. Very well written. It is actually a very nice piece!

I love the short, simple and straight to the point poems. A lot of people could relate to this, but its true. It's far easier to hide than face the truth. Hmm, an interesting piece (considering you had no inspiration), certainly thought provoking.

Interesting, I took a psychology course101 In the course they discussed what they called the fight or flight syndrome. Basically stating as your writing, when faced with adversity people make one of two choices. Stand and face adversity head on, after which you will find relief in the fact that the situation is finally over and you braved the storm. Or Two, run away from adversity in which case the problem still remains, the storm will eventually return. But at least for awhile you find relief as well having avoided facing up to an adversity you felt at the time you just could not deal with. So in some ways it's a win,win situation depending on how you look it. But either way you handled it the way you felt best. Sometimes we can run, but then we also find out we can't run for ever, sooner or later we have to face our fears. Other wise they control us, instead of us controlling them.

This is relateable, but I don't think it's really a necessary point to make. Perhaps if your poem provided a specfic instance of someone running from all they knew (etc.) it would be a much more interesting read. People are captivated by other people's stories. Give me someone's story. And if you're running away from fears, are you really among the tough that have gotten going? That's just a thought provoked by my opinion, but you could do a lot more with this! Thanks for sharing.

Relatable and powerful, even though it is short. Well done, I loved it.

Everyone once in their life has felt this kind of problem. We are all runaways in our own way because there's always a problem that hunts us down or we can't stop thinking about it. Even so, great write!
