Entering The Race

Never give up!

The gun sounds

Its time to start,

Time to enter the race

One foot in front of the other,

Keep pushing,

Keep moving,

Its too late to turn back now

Keep up,

Stay steady,

You wanted change 

And it started

Once you entered the race,

Time to take back 

Everything that slipped through your fingers,

Everything that's left you in the back of the pack,

Training all your life to get where you are now

Finally at the finish line...

Sweet, Sweet, Victory!

A race is a great example of a time when you should give your all and accept the challenge head on without a glance backward. Trying your best and being proud of it should be enough, but the feeling of victory is always sweet! A fantastic poem with true words of inspiration.
