I Long To...

This is for my grandma

I long to see you again,

To touch your face

And to run my fingers 

Through your hair

I long to hear you speak

And for you to give me

Sage advice,

I long to see your smile again

Because the last time I saw you

There was no smile upon your face

I long to see you pain free

Because I hated seeing you in pain

But now you don't have to worry

About the stress of the world...

I long to hug you again

And to never let go

I long to feel your presence

That will stay with me forever

Author's Note

This is for my grandma, she died 5 years ago. Her birthday was July 1 but it was to painful to write about so that's why I strayed away for a while. I hope you like it.

Thank you for speaking the words I couldn't bring myself to write. My grandmother passed away nearly 5 months ago and the last time I saw her was her sons funeral. I wanted to write her something but it was too painful, it still is.
