I Long To...

I Long To...

A Poem by Tasha
"

This is for my grandma

"
I long to see you again,
To touch your face
And to run my fingers
Through your hair
I long to hear you speak
And for you to give me
Sage advice,
I long to see your smile again
Because the last time I saw you
There was no smile upon your face
I long to see you pain free
Because I hated seeing you in pain
But now you don't have to worry
About the stress of the world...
I long to hug you again
And to never let go
I long to feel your presence
That will stay with me forever

This is for my grandma, she died 5 years ago. Her birthday was July 1 but it was to painful to write about so that's why I strayed away for a while. I hope you like it.

I love this poem, an amazing tribute to your late grandmother. It was genuine, without being cheesy. Putting your own personal thoughts and feelings and not generic phrases. I enjoyed reading this, and I could see it was painful to write. Another great piece.

The text that enables the capability to glimpse into the personal is what adds the subtle soul and heart to a piece. This poem bleeds both of those. Quite the fulfilling read; the only thing I am able to imagine at the moment is your grandmother's smile.

It is essential in life to remember the ones we love. We lose people we love and for a while it is a heart wrenching reality. But your grandma would love this poem.

This is a lovely poem. It reminds me of the times where only
my Grandmother's advice would do..but she wasnt there anymore.
Thank God for all of the wonderful memories and lessons learned.
