Dirty Flower

Dirty Flower

A Poem by Tasha
"

Hmm just felt like writing.

"
A lonely one
that keeps to herself
talks to no one
but its by choice
I may not be the prettiest flower
But I am me
I admit I've got some
Dirt on me
But its because of scars
That have yet
To be mended
Time,
Time you can't reset
Things you can't
Take back
A dirty flower
Sits alone
Waiting to be
Washed away
Of the pain

Scars are the adornments we bring to the table, to the negotiation, the bedroom. They speak of experience, wisdom, and self-acceptance. Who doesn't have a few? Would you trust them? And then there is the rain...you bring up very intimate threads....

Not good at revewing poem but i tell you what i think. This feel like it's close and personal. What i take from it is that the person in the poem chose to be along because the person is hiding because of the thing he/she been through using it as an excuse becaue it "by choice".

That is true. Thanks for the review.
I like the image & the metaphor that it alludes to. I have often wondered what garden roses have in comparison to rosé farm varieties that are grown solely for their sale value. Garden roses often aren't perfect & have visible scarring and deformities. And yet they do not pale in beauty & often have individual journeys & stories to tell. Thank you for sharing & extending my pondering through your wonderful verse.

Wow, thank you.
but a flower nonetheless. a very introspective and sorrowful piece of prose, well thought out and tenderly written.

This is awesome, yet a little sad, I hope all the pain is soon washed away and you can find your joy. This is very deep and beautifully written.

like the analogy (is that the right word?) of the dirty flower you use here...and the ending "sits alone waiting to be...."personally I connected to this poem. thanks for sharing...BB

Thank you very much that really means a lot.
No dirty flowers. Sometime some dust can fall upon us. Good to be content with our life and find good dreams. A powerful poem. Provoke thoughts in the excellent poem.
