Tides

Tides

A Poem by Matthew Daalling
"

This a poem about figuring love out. It’s about establishing a setting and delivering a message that is meaningful. I hope you enjoy it.

"
As time advances and tithes Exchange the tides erupt till seasons end.
In jest I’d never say your name, but Beckon You, my dearest friend
Till summer’s end and discontent of winters, bitter sting I feel
I do oblige and recognize the heart of loves Achilles heel

It Is and and will forever be a mystery to you and I
That when the gods do gaze upon us, they do so now with envious eyes
The vapor of our lives remain the source of pain and souls delight
So why do we insist and plead For misery and bitter night

Habitual compulsion sets to break the cycle is My goal
For in my soul, I know too well that love can fill this empty hole
Dependency Necessity does balance all the warmth I feel
And shall not rob me of this love for nothing shall un forge this steel

The tide subsides the ocean swells, a silent sets, in air so thick
I cannot hide the fear I felt before the calm was torn to bits
Now is the time to stand there strong just like the weeping willow tree
For nothing shall undo the bond and trust that she has put in me.
